Jighinderesi is a valley in the Iravan uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Vedi (Ararat) district, and currently in the Ararat province. The villages of Jighin, Garagoyunlu, Kolanly, Baghchajig, Jamishbasan, Kusuz, Manguk, Gol, Dahnaz, Garabaghlar, Chimen, Zenjirli, Ermik, Hakhish, Heyranis are located in this valley.

The toponym was coined on the basis of the “Jigini branch” of the Qashqai Turkic tribe.
