Gizilbulag is a river in the Novo-Bayazid uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Basarkechar (Vardenis) district, and currently in the Gegharkunik province. It flows through the village of Chakhirli (Khachaghbyur).
The hydronym was coined by combining the words “gizil” meaning “red” and the hydroterm “bulag”.
