Ashaghi Shaharjik was a village in the territory of the Zangezur uezd of the former Yelizavetpol (Ganja) governorate, later in the former Gafan district, and present-day Syunik province. The village was inhabited by 155 Azerbaijanis in 1897.
In the early 20th century the Azerbaijanis were deported and the village was abolished after being merged with the village of Yukhari Shaharjik.
