Arkhustu

Arkhustu was a village in the territory of the Zangezur uezd of the former Yelizavetpol (Ganja) governorate, later in the former Gafan district, and present-day Syunik province. It was located near the village of Yukhari Giratagh.

The village was inhabited by 24 Azerbaijanis in 1897. The Azerbaijanis were deported and the village was abolished in 1905–1906. At present, the village lies in ruins.

The village was named “Arkhustu”, because it was built on an artificial waterway.
